Boom & Scissor Lift Accessories

This new secondary guarding system is designed to encourage boom lift operators to attach their harness lanyards to established platform anchor points. It comes in “Alert” and “Advanced” configurations and is comparable to the automotive industry's universal adoption of seatbelt in-use while driving warning systems. Designed for affordability, easy installation and quality, this device is easy for fleets to incorporate, whether large or small, so that it is available to everyone. It can be purchased both as a factory-fit option or as an aftermarket kit, retrofitted to all Genie boom models manufactured as of 2003 and is compatible with industry’s most popular lanyard carabiners (clips). The aftermarket kit can be retrofitted to existing models with basic tools in just under 15 minutes and without altering the machine - simplifying service work and fleet management.

Lift Guard Lanyard Alert provides visual and audible warnings only for jobsites where a simple, automotive-style solution is needed. The Lanyard Alert reminds the operator that the lanyard should be attached but does not prevent or interrupt operation. If the machine is on and the lanyard is not attached, a red light will flash. If the footswitch is enabled and the lanyard is still not attached, an audible alarm will start beeping.

Alternatively, the Advanced configuration provides both visual and audible warnings, as well as operation cut-off to meet employer or jobsite requirements. By combining both an alarm and function cut-off, it is both alerting the operator that the lanyard should be attached and will interrupt operation if it’s not. The red light and audible alarm will remain active until the lanyard is engaged. Additionally, machine functions will be disabled until the lanyard is engaged.
