Genie all-electric, hybrid and bi-energy power sources revolutionise the established order
‘Building the future’ has been in the DNA of Genie since the brand was created 50 years ago.
As early as 1984, Genie was already changing the face of aerial access with the creation of
the first articulating boom in the industry: the Genie Z™-30/20HD. Marking a premiere with its combination of vertical lift and horizontal outreach built into a compact chassis, for the first time Genie made it possible to reach up, as well as over obstacles in tight spaces, allowing access to jobs never reached before.
Over the years, thanks to its many technological breakthroughs, Genie has provided people the ability to work at height safely, while at the same time increasing their productivity. Some of these important advances include the introduction of the jib (rotating and later Jib-Extend™), the XChassis™, the active oscillating axle system, Fast-Mast™, SmartLink™ integrated self-diagnostics and troubleshooting control system, and the independent four-point oscillating TraX drive on track-mounted units.
Today, Genie continues to demonstrate its ambition to support the evolution of the aerial work platform industry with the introduction of machines powered by new energy sources. Harnessing today’s latest technology to provide continuous indoor and outdoor operation, this has resulted in a new generation of all-electric and revolutionary hybrid powered boom lifts, in addition to our bi-energy machines.
With Genie, building the future is already today.
"Representing as much as 80% of rental sales in some cases, business potential for indoor and outdoor applications in the 12 m (39 ft 4 in) to 20 m (65 ft 7 in) range is high, but the global product offering in this segment is limited to either heavier compact electric units adapted to indoor tasks or diesel machines for outdoor applications.
Today, this observation has led us to introduce a revolutionary new generation of ‘2-in1’ Genie machines that are designed to be easy to operate, productive and cost-efficient and that offer rental companies the opportunity to re-think the way they manage their fleets.”
