Genie Z-135/70 Articulating Boom and ArcPro 275 Welder System Both Win Construction Equipment Magazine Top 100 Awards

REDMOND, WASH. (March 1, 2006) – Construction Equipment Magazine presented two 2005 Top 100 Awards to Genie at the recent American Rental Association (ARA) Rental Show for the Z-135/70 Articulating Boom and the ArcPro 275 Welding System. The Construction Equipment Top 100 Awards call special attention to the most significant products introduced during the year.

Genie’s Z-135/70 offers the largest working envelope in the articulating boom market, providing a maximum working height of 141 ft (42.9 m), horizontal outreach of 69 ft 9 in (21.3 m), and up-and-over clearance of 75 ft 6 in (23 m). It also features the new and exclusive XCHASSIS™ axle configuration, which provides easy and reliable machine setup, and the distinctive new Jib-Extend (or JIB-EXTEND)™ jib that provides access to “up, over and in” applications inaccessible by a traditional jib.

The ArcPro 275 Welding System is a jointly designed boom welding system by The Lincoln Electric Co. and Genie Industries. Available on the Genie S-80/85, S-60/65 and S-40/45 telescopic booms, the ArcPro 275 gives the operator the ability to perform extended welding from the platform.

According to Construction Equipment Magazine, its editorial staff selected the 2005 Top 100 Awards from a pool of nearly 700 new products. The staff carefully selects the products that signify advances in technology, new product lines, significant improvements to existing products or a product that increases competition in the field.
